Music Spark - KKCO-TV

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)- Dual Immersion Academy is teaching kids the importance of music and the arts.

Music spark is a non-profit program that helps elementary students who often wouldn't otherwise learn to play an instrument or learn to plan in an orchestra.

December 11, they showcased their classical music talents.

“We see that students become empowered. There’s an excitement. You know some of the violins the kindergartners play are 12 inches long and it so great for them to learn about much more than music,” says Gisela Flanigan and Monica Heptner.

The program is open to any elementary and middle school students.
