ALBANY, N.Y.--
The Music Studio kicking off its 43rd year with a bang and the special needs music program working in harmony with parents and kids toward continued success.
Instructor Beth McLaughlin saw a niche for the classes a few years ago and tuned in.
"So now I'm partnering with the parents to provide a music experience for the children that's really meaningful," said McLaughlin.
For five year old Daniel Clemente, he uses the classes to expand his musical abilities and his circle of friends.
"They are really internalizing their music concepts through the movement and the instrument play," McLaughlin explained.
Which is music to Luis F Clemente ears, who is Daniels dad.
"In the few session he has attended he has developed an ability to follow rhythmic patterns," said Luis.
The Music Studio founder and director Noel Liberty, says the school caters to all ages and musical needs but they make a particular effort to share the joy of music with everyone.
"We feel that music is important to everybody and when Beth came to me a couple of years ago".... "and said she was interested in teaching here, I said perfect! we have been waiting for this and wanting this and are thrilled to have her be a part of this"
"There is always something to celebrate at the end of a session or day and I feel very very blessed I can do that," added McLaughlin.
The Music Studio will continue to hold special needs open house through out the week and new class sessions begin January 25th.
