CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Wallows’ Sept. 8 concert at Cleveland’s House of Blues will be a bit of a homecoming for singer-guitarist Braeden Lemasters. The musician and actor, now based in Los Angeles, was born and raised in Warren, Ohio.
Lemasters lived in Warren until the age of nine, when he moved to California to pursue an acting career. Since then, he’s starred in shows like “Betrayal” and “T@gged,” and he’s appeared on “Six Feet Under,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “NCIS” and more.
Lemasters jumped into the Los Angeles music scene, too, quickly befriending the musicians who would join him in Wallows.
Wallows consists of Lemasters on vocals and guitar, drummer Cole Preston and singer-guitarist Dylan Minnette on vocals, keys and guitar. (Minnette, also an actor, stars in a leading role on Netflix hit show “13 Reasons Why.”)
Wallows released its debut album, “Nothing Happens,” this March. Since then, it’s garnered millions of streams and positive acclaim from fans and critics alike.
We chatted with Lemasters about his roots in Northeast Ohio, his earliest musical influences, his acting career and more in a Q&A.
